Accommodation
AND
what to bring
There’s limited accommodation in the Mess’ and most people camp, either by bringing their own camping equipment or dossing down in one of the offices within the comp HQ complex, which also has a shower. Food is available from the Junior Ranks Mess. In addition there is a meet and greet BBQ on the Wednesday night and a Fork Supper on the Saturday with the Prize Giving.
What models to bring? Anything and everything! There will be somewhere at the Champs that you can fly it. As a minimum we’d recommend some sports models for the off the peg line, something to fly indoors of the weather is inclement and something to fly at night, yes, at night! After the day's activity there's often night flying at the campsite.
Off the peg
Everyone present is expected to help set-up flightlines and clean up at the end of the event. Outside of these periods, there is off the peg flying all day, every day. You are most welcome to attend to simply fly off the peg, but remember if you are a Serviceman that this does not entitle you to duty status and you must submit leave.
