What to bring
There’s no accommodation at RAFMAA's Slope events but frequently people get together on Facebook and decide upon a suitable Travelodge or campsite nearby so everyone can meet up for dinner and drinks in the evening.
If you're uncertain what to bring or buy for your first outing then you can't go wrong with a Zagi type flying wing. These are almost indestructible and, by adding weight, can fly in almost any winds. If you have a tired Hobbyking Vampire or other EDF, consider taking the fan out and using it for Powered Scale Soaring. They fly surprisingly well.
Off the peg
As always, you're most welcome to attend to simply fly off the peg, but remember if you are a Serviceman that this does not entitle you to duty status and you must submit leave.
