RAF Odiham Free Flight Gala

The Southern Area British Model Flying Association have confirmed a re-scheduled date for their Odiham based freeflight competition which was postponed from last September due to poor weather. The Southern Area BMFA has held an annual freeflight competition at RAF Odiham for many years and this year sees their 70th consecutive event. 

The Odiham Freeflight Gala raises money for Station Charities and the RAF Benevolent Fund. Flying consists of a combination of off-the peg club type flying and also a number of competitions. As a nod to the history of this event the SA BMFA would like to extend an invite to all RAFMAA members to take part this year.

Attendance and off-the-peg flying will be free for RAFMAA members but if you would like to enter any of the competitions a small fee will be required. (RAFMAA Membership status will be confirmed with membership secretary prior to event). Regrettably, no accommodation is available at RAF Odiham so attendees will be required to make their own arrangements. 

If you would like to get involved and come along to do some freeflight flying then please follow the instructions below. Attendance is by booking only-there is no turning up on the day.

• E36, mini vintage, 
• Coupe d’Hiver,  
• Vintage classic Glider combi,   
• Vintage wake 4/8oz, 
• Vintage Classic HLG/CLG.

Models to be CAA registered (if applicable).
